Diocesan Communications
- Santa Clara Valley Deanery met on March 8th and proposed doing a Collaborative Deanery Project. Parishes are now discerning whether there is support to do a U2charist to raise awareness and money for the Millennium Development Goals of extreme poverty and Global AIDS, specifically in the Sudan. (Check out http://www.e4gr.org/u2charists/service.html). If you are interested, contact Linda Morris.
- Along the King’s Highway, the diocesan newsletter, can be read online at http://www.edecr.org/newsletter.htm. To get on the mailing list contact Susan Altig.
- World Mission Discernment Day at St. George's, Salinas on Saturday April 19 from 9:30-12:30. Bishop Mary has invited a World Mission network to come into being for the sake of discerning where God is calling us as a diocese to connect in partnership with the World Church through the Anglican Communion. See the flier on the Social Justice/Outreach board in the Parish Hall. Please contact Susan Altig to register.
- Magnetic Church Conference May 16-17 at St. Andrew’s, Saratoga. Led by Andrew Weeks, this event will be fun and offer some great, practical ideas of how to share your faith, how to become more involved in the mission and ministry of St. Jude’s, and much more. See the Kiosk in the Narthex or http://www.edecr.org/magnetic-church.htm for more info and let Linda Morris know if you’d like to attend or if you would like to help provide housing on May 16th for out-of-the-area attendees.
