Adult Forum: The Importance of Building Community

Community is at the center of the Gospel and the heart of the Episcopal Church. The Book of Common Prayer provides a role for community in all major sacraments: Eucharist, Marriage, Baptism, Confirmation, Burial, and Ordination. Not surprisingly, the Parish Profile shows community to be a key part of St. Jude's identity, which along with palpable spirituality is the key to an alive church. Maintaining community, however, takes effort as we must participate in the life of the parish and recognize that we are responsible to God for each other.
